It hit me two weeks ago that as a freshly minted college grad I no longer have to read text books. Like, ever again (praise and raise). Rather, I can read whatever I want for the rest of my life. Oh, hey 78 unread books on my shelf. Get in my hands. And may the truth of God’s Word in the pages get in my heart and forever stay.
“I declare after all there is no enjoyment like reading! How much sooner one tires of any thing than of a book! — When I have a house of my own, I shall be miserable if I have not an excellent library.”
― Jane Austen, Pride and Prejudice
I’ve already read a few books this year, but I’ve been reading more blogs lately and wow. God has seriously blessed us with the gift of blogs and being able to read and grow from so many other believers.
Here are a few stellar articles that I have particularly enjoyed this week:
Theology and Doxology – Gerrit Scott Dawson
Candid Desires – Courtney Veasey
So take a break from the endless running around (like you’re doing now if you’re reading this) and go, click, read–be poured into so that you may pour into others.
Happy to contribute to an effort to encourage reading!
Thank you, Matt! I’m thankful for your blog, God uses it constantly to push me to Him and His glorious gospel. Praying He continues to pour into you and increases your capacity to experience Him!
