Adventures abound.
The last week was filled with one-on-one (or two-on-one) meetings with students, hanging out and doing life, and planting seeds and sharing the Gospel. It was my favorite.
I love these people. I love what God is doing in and through them. I love redemption.
Here are approximately 97 million photos from the last week.
- Katie and Veronica are two master’s students in tourism and regional development and I love (!) them so much. We have a deep bond, forged through a mutual love of food, adventures, and hilarity. Here we are at dinner at a 360º Panoramic restaurant at the top of a hotel that overlooks the entire city. (You’ll see Katie and Veronica in a lot more photos below.)

How beautiful is this? The view is nice too.
- The restaurant is way up there on the top floor.
On Tuesday (I think?) the entire English Club went bowling and took up the entire bowling alley. It was wonderful.
Update: Iasi is still beautiful.
“To fall in love with God is the greatest romance;
to seek Him the greatest adventure;
to find Him, the greatest human achievement.”
-Augustine

I mean, it’s not the worst lunch view I’ve ever had.

Estera is in her first year of university studying English and German. We instantly connected over a love of books, theology, C. S. Lewis, Charles Spurgeon, and biblical femininity. God will continue using her to make disciples who make disciples. She is a force for the kingdom.

Ligia is a pharmacy student with a heart as big as the sky. We devoured some crepes (pictured below) and amazing conversation. God is writing an amazing story in and through her. And the best is yet to come.
The last night of English Club brought a Romanian party and lots of laughter, pictures, and bittersweet goodbyes.

The intermediate class graduates.
- All the grads. I’m so proud of them all.
On Saturday, Estera and I had a whole day together.
- We rode the tram. Update: I love riding the tram.
- She’s so cute I can’t stand it.
- Look at this burger. What.

New friend. His name is Pancho.

One of my favorite streets in Iasi. Look at that stonework.

After making it to the grocery store in the snow blizzard.
The day before I left, Narnia invaded and replaced Iasi.
- She’s so cute, oh my goodness.
Even though I’m not a huge fan of winter, Romania in the snow was stunning.

Our snowy walk to the plane.
- Deicing the plane. Completely mesmerizing to watch.

Hi, America.
If you made it through all of these photos, wow. Major kudos to you.
Romania looks like a cool place, you took some really nice shots!
