Monday Morning Munch No. 81 – Come Swimming With Me

Written March 19th, 2014

The last few hours I have been swimming around in this massive and glorious pool called God’s Love and I hope this morning you will join me. I pray that as you go through your day today that you take special notice and delight in God’s love and all the ways He demonstrates it toward you. As our lives speed up and our schedules get crowded with more and more responsibilities, it’s so easy for our minds and hearts to get cluttered and bogged down with things that have no eternal significance and we can lose sight of the most stunning reality: God loves us. God loves you. Personally. Deeply. Whole heartily.

This is a common truth, but don’t brush it off. Let it sink into your bones and every cell of your heart. The holy and righteous Creator of the universe loves you

“…I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore, I have continued to extend faithful love to you.” -Jeremiah 31:3

This morning I read Spurgeon’s “Evening” from last night’s Morning and Evening and it was like water for my dehydrated heart!

“As the Father hath loved me, so I have loved you.” -John 15:9

What is this divine method of love?

 God loved the son:

Without beginning.
Without any change.
Without any end.
Without any measure.

(And He loves you the same.)

There is much food here for those who know how to digest it. May the Holy Ghost lead us into its marrow and fatness.

-Charles Spurgeon

So come on into the waters of God’s Love, it’s the perfect temperature for a swim.

Amen. Spurgeon certainly swam in that pool. And he helps us swim in deep water if we follow our Lord as he did. http://spurgeonwarquotes.wordpress.com/
