But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong; God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are, so that no human being might boast in the presence of God. –1 Corinthians 1:27-29
So you feel foolish compared to other Christians?
You feel weak and insignificant as if God will never use you?
At times does the thought creep in your mind that if you were just born in a different family or at a different time in history, then maybe God could have used you?
Reject those lies.
God chose the foolish, the weak and the low (…I mean, He didn’t really have any other people to choose, did He?) to display His power, authority, love and glory so that He gets 100 percent credit when victory comes.
Therefore, as I’ve heard a few times while we’ve been here in Romania: we must learn to embrace our weakness.
Why? So God’s strength will shine and people would see where our success truly originates.
Just let me live my life,
let it pleasing, Lord to Thee,
and if I gain any praise,
let it go to Calvary.
