Bucket Lists and Magazines

This weekend I was looking over some of my old journals and found a list of “100 things I want to do before I die” from March 2010. Despite my ambitious personality, I only made it to 37 things.

Some of the list included:

• Compete in the Olympics
• Get a 4.0 in college
• Go bungee jumping
• Lead someone to Christ
• Go on a mission trip to Africa
• Constantly abide with Christ
• Write a book

While I’ve been able to mark off about 12 things off the list, one thing jumped out to me.

No. 3 – Design and run my own magazine

It’s been said your ideal job lies where your passion (or deep gladness) meets the world’s greatest need. I can assure you of that truth. Working for God, using the tools and gifts He’s equipped you with is the greatest “job”. It isn’t “my own” magazine and I couldn’t do it alone, but I’m beyond thankful to be the assistant editor of Real Truth Matters Magazine and share God’s work through the written word (and awesome videos). It’s crazy to think that the dreams I had as a high school and college student of having a magazine some day would turn out as amazing as this–my dream job. Because of that, it is with great excitement we tell you the January/February issue of the RTM Magazine is here.
