Monday Morning Munch No. 88 – God’s Choice

“For the LORD will have compassion on Jacob and will again choose Israel, and will set them in their own land…”
-Isaiah 14:1

“…will again choose Israel…”

Those four words have captured my heart.

The Lord will again choose those who rebelled and rejected Him. He chose them once, in Christ before the foundation of the world (Eph. 1:4), and now He chooses them again.

The same is true for us, His children.

Just like a precious husband who chooses his wife daily, so God, the ultimate Husband, continues to choose us to be His bride.

Even when we’re stubborn.
Even when we run after other things.
Even when we don’t want Him.

He chooses us.

Amazing.
